There is now a new way to explore the world from the palm of your hand with new 3D imagery on Google Earth for Android. Using advanced image processing, we've created a new, comprehensive 3D experience of entire metropolitan areas. Look for expanded coverage of these more realistic cities in the coming weeks.

Forty years of our planet, from space
Landsat is a key part of Google Earth Engine's vast archive of satellite imagery. For the program's 40th anniversary, we worked with the USGS and Carnegie Mellon University to create global-scale timelapses from Landsat data. With this new initiative, you can interactively explore the transformation of our planet from 1999-2011.
