Chelsea FC's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich jetted into Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, Tanzania, today ahead of a hushed itinerary that is expected to include visits to game parks and possibly Mount Kilimanjaro in the country's world renonwed northern tourist circuit.National Parks Authority (TANAPA) officials in Arusha have confirmed the high profile visitation but insisted that the tour was not for public consumption since the billionaire’s entourage is keeping the whole thing under tight wraps.
Pascal Shelutete the Media and Communications officer for TANAPA on confirming the visit of the billionaire said that after landing at KIA Mr. Abramovich immeadiately connected to Serengeti National Park where he is supposed to be staying at the state-of-the-art Grumeti Luxury Lodge.
“That is as much as I can say because he is not our guest and his trip toTanzania as it seems is confidential.
"But yes he will be around for sometime though I also can’t say for how long,” Mr. Shelutete remarked over the phone.
