Another sponsor has decided to drop Tiger Woods.
Gatorade just announced today that they’ve cut ties with the golfer. Woods previously had an endorsement deal with the brand, but it’s just been discontinued.
A rep for Gatorade told CNBC, “I can confirm that we no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship.”
They added, “However, our partnership with the Tiger Woods Foundation will continue. We wish Tiger all the best.”
This is the third endorsement deal of Tiger’s to go down the drain—he already lost Gillette and Accenture. Gatorade insists the decision was made before Tiger’s marital problems became publicly known.
